Ben Davis has years of experience seeking justice on behalf of victims of wrongdoing in complex civil and criminal cases on the state, national and international levels.
As a Deputy District Attorney in Denver, Ben chaired dozens of jury trials involving violent crimes. Through this experience, he learned the importance of empowering and giving a voice to individuals who are injured and hurt during traumatic times in their lives.
Ben previously served as an advisor at the Department of Treasury, Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, where he played a key role in investigating and taking legal action against sponsors and financiers of international terrorism in coordination with the Department of Justice and other government agencies. He served as the Treasury Department’s first attaché to the Palestinian Authority government and led an inter-agency taskforce in Iraq combating insurgency support networks. In 2008, Ben received the Secretary of the Treasury’s Honor Award for his service.
Ben began his legal career as a summer associate and law clerk for Motley Rice, LLC, where he supported the firm’s groundbreaking litigation on behalf of September 11 terrorism victims seeking to hold accountable the financiers of al Qaeda. Ben was also involved with the firm’s representation of aviation disaster victims and other complex environmental claims.
Prior to completing law school, Ben provided pro bono legal services to elderly clients, military veterans, and victims of domestic violence in the Washington, D.C. area.
Ben currently serves as an Executive Council Board Member of the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and is a mentor in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program of Colorado. He is also a Lecturer in International Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder, International Affairs Program.
Ben enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors of Colorado, traveling, and reading.
